Washington, DC – U.S. Rep. Mimi Walters (CA-45) joined Joel Waldman on Fox News to discuss her experience as a freshman member of Congress, and how she hopes to inspire more women to run for public office. Click here to see Rep. Mimi Walters on Fox News.
Said Rep. Mimi Walters, “I grew up in a time where a lot of women stayed home, and took care of their kids, and they weren’t out in the workforce - I happened to do both. A lot of young women today, don’t really think that they can do it. I want to be able to show them, especially with the fact that I have two girls, that if they want to work outside the home, they can work outside the home. If they want to stay home with their kids, they can stay home with their kids. If they want to do both, they can do both. If they want to run for office, they can do it. If they want to be President of the United States, they can do it. I think it’s a matter of showing them, I did it, and that if I can do it, they certainly can do it.”
